As the upcoming Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition looks and even plays superior that 2013 re-release, I was wondering if HD Edition would be taken off Steam when the new Definitive Edition arrives on Steam and the Windows Store sometime this fall. Despite its vast improvements, many players such as myself were introduced to the game via the 2013 Steam release of Age of Empires II: HD Edition. The remaster looks great and even includes a brand new expansion filled with 4 new civilizations and 3 new campaigns. For RTS fans, the most exiting part of Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference was probably when Age of Empires II: Definitive Editionreceived its first gameplay trailer.
